A further very impressive 10k PB by Martin G, 32.32 in Wales at age 45, having recently won the North Wales Cross Country Championship, great results as standalones and all part of his ongoing sub 2.30 marathon bid. Also back in the fray after a torn hamstring, Chris O clocked 69.11 at the Brass Monkey Half and a comparable 70.57 as part of a long training run at the very hilly Watford Half, finishing 3rd, as he rebuilds towards full training.
Also a big advance by long term coachee, Jack B scoring 59.47 at the St Albans 10 miles – his more-than 3 minutes progress being only partly Vaporfly-related.
Sophie R, the BBC’s fastest news anchor raced to 94.41 at the Farnborough Half, another PB which secured her an England Team vest in the V50 group. Fellow 51 year old Paul H, who PB’d with 78.27 at the same Farnborough Half and establishes him as one of the UK’s leading runners in his age group. A big 5 minutes advance by Sekai Z there too, to 90.11, after she had similarly taken down her 5k and 10k Pbs in chunks.
Sonia M took over 2 minutes off her 10k PB, with 43.59 in London, whilst hard training seasoned V40 Tim C improved by a substantial 3 mins to 79.32 at the ever-tough Watford Half Marathon course. Megan A recently also took her 10k time down by 2 mins to 42.06, a 7 minute advance in two years.
And fairly hot off the press from Chichester, Fabio G slashed his 10k time to 32.53, in the race where Becky M with 37.58 was just outside her own 10k PB and has recovered after the strong marathon debut.
